  Overall
  -------

So Far, it's been fun.

My first night I had the car, I forgot abbout the parking
brake and drove up a mile long hill, and then had to stop at a
restauraunt to recharge (The Brigantine in Del Mar. Try the Shrimp
and Scampi.) They were very gracious and we're quite stunned to see
an electric auto.

Learned important Rule #1 : Check the parking brake.

The next day I drove the car to Oceanside and back, and almost
made it home, but had to stop at local 7/11 to recharge. Dohh! Don't
have an extension cord. So I walk the remain 1 mile to my house, pick
up my extension cord, walk back and then charge for 45 mins, then drive
home.

Learned important Rule #2 : Bring an extension cord.

The next couple days I had to go to work, so I did not drive
the car to work. But yesterday, I heard from my facilities group here
at Qualcomm, that the outlet was installed and ready, they'll strip the
spot on Monday. SO, today I headed out and went 16 miles to work, but
I had some motor overhesting warnings about 1/4 mile before I stopped.
Must have been from the many hills I have to take.

Learned important Rule #3 : Bring patience and reading material

So, tomorrow I'll run another test to make sure I can take the highway
route to work and then I'll be ice-free!
